Filipino Nurses Association-Nordic (FiNAN) is a non-profit organisation in the Nordic Region that helps in uplifting and empowering the voice of Filipino Nurses in the Nordic countries. The trend of international recruitment among Filipino Nurses from the Philippines to the Nordic Region is a new phenomenon causing so many challenges for both the employers and the recruited nurses. Currently, no Nordic countries have implemented a national strategic plan when recruiting foreign nurses to ease the transition and integration phases of these Nurses. As a new non-profit association, FiNAN is striving harder to negotiate with the different sectors both in the Philippines and the Nordic Region to encourage the implementation of bilateral labour agreement.

The Filipino Nurses Association-Nordic is a non-profit association and not a recruitment agency.

Do you have any office that we can visit?


FiNAN is currently working as a non-profit association virtually. The Board conducts its meetings mostly remotely.

Is FiNAN a registered NGO?


Yes. FiNAN is registered as a non-profit organisation in Finland, Denmark, Iceland and we are on our process to register it in Norway and Sweden.

How do I become a member?


You can be a member of the association if you are living in the Nordic countries whether you are already a nurse or on your processing period to get the license.

Can you recommend recruitment agencies in the Philippines that are hiring Filipino Nurses to the Nordic Countries?


In the future, we will be releasing position statements and guidelines and that includes a list of agencies who are following the WHO Global Code in International Recruitment of Health Personnel most especially nurses.

How much is the membership fee?


It's only 20 euros annually. You are like spending a cup of coffee per month for 10 months.

We are affiliated with Healthcare Without Harm, United Nations Global Compact, International Associations of Nurses in Palliative Care and with the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University.
